Dunfermline still need to pick up points to be sure of Championship football next season and they can secure three precious ones against bottom-two rivals Ayr.

Although the Pars have struggled this season, they have lost only four league matches on their own patch and go into this game after two impressive performances at East End Park.

John Hughes' side were decent 2-0 winners over Raith in their latest home assignment and prior to that they hammered Partick 4-1 on their own patch.

Dunfermline's open and entertaining style of play hasn't always reaped rewards this term but they should be too strong for the Honest Men.

Raith have had a pretty solid season considering they lost some key players in the summer, but it's just one win in five for Rovers and they could come unstuck at Partick.

Thistle have lost just four second-tier matches at Firhill this term and two of those defeats were against title-chasers Kilmarnock and Arbroath.

Patrick boast the strongest home defence in the Championship and they should stand firm against a side who have scored the fewest away goals of the division's top-five sides.
