Saturday preview

Hibernian are improving every week under Jack Ross and they can grab another Ladbrokes Premiership win against poor travellers Livingston at Easter Road.

A miserable season has suddenly been transformed under the former Sunderland boss and his attacking options have helped Hibs to pick up.

Allowing Flo Kamberi to join Rangers on loan may have seemed a risky move, but it has meant Ross has been able to bring in Marc McNulty and team him up with Christian Doidge.

Hibs also got the best out of that deal with Rangers by landing impressive midfielder Greg Docherty, who scored a fantastic goal in last week’s win at Kilmarnock.

Goals have seldom been a problem for Hibs, but they have tightened up at the back too. They have had just one defeat in their last nine games and that was against the Gers at Ibrox.

Livi are a different team on their travels, when they don’t have the advantage of their artificial playing surface at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

They have won just once in their last 13 away matches and Hibs can leapfrog them into the top six with a victory.

Dundee can pile on the misery for Queen of the South by winning in Dumfries.

James McPake’s side have finally shown signs of life, with the addition of former Hearts captain Christophe Berra giving them a boost.

With Berra, Graham Dorrans and Kane Hemmings – who grabbed a double last week – in the team, the spine of their side looks solid for a Ladbrokes Championship outfit.

They can still turn around a miserable season by reaching the playoffs and they travel to meet a Doonhamers side full of doom and gloom after four defeats in their last five games.

Dundee don’t have a great record at Palmerston Park, but the hosts have also lost five of their last six games there.

Queen’s Park can end Cove Rangers’ 100 per cent home league record at the Balmoral Stadium.

After 152 years of being amateurs, the Spiders have embraced professionalism in style by splashing out on several high-profile signings last month.

Former Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon has yet to taste defeat in the league since taking over and they have won five of their last six in Ladbrokes League Two.

They look a massive price to surprise Cove, who haven’t been quite as impressive in recent outings.
