The Premier League is back after a two-week absence and plenty of eyes will be on Old Trafford where Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to make his second debut for Manchester United when the Red Devils face Newcastle.

There won't be much love from the visiting supporters towards Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira when table-topping Tottenham visit Selhurst Park, while Chelsea will be looking to build on their decent start when Aston Villa head to Stamford Bridge for the late kick-off.

Today's best accumulator bets

Bets to be placed by 3pm

Fulham to beat Blackpool

Charlton to beat Cheltenham

Wigan to beat Doncaster

Mansfield to beat Walsall

Fulham have made an excellent start to life back in the Championship and they should have too much for second-tier new boys Blackpool, while Charlton look to have recovered from a poor start in League One and should have too much for newly-promoted Cheltenham.

Wigan have beaten the Addicks and Portsmouth recently, so they should beat League One basement boys Doncaster and Mansfield can recover from some indifferent recent results by overcoming Walsall.

The four-fold pays 11-1 with Hills.

Crystal Palace v Tottenham

BT Sport 1, 12.30pm

Tottenham are top of the Premier League after three 1-0 wins but they could be up against it against Palace. Spurs manager Nuno has a few injuries to deal with, while the Eagles were excellent in their 2-2 draw at West Ham and could get something from this London derby.

Crystal Palace or draw double chance

Chelsea v Aston Villa

Sky Sports Premier League, 5.30pm

Both managers will have to shuffle the pack but Chelsea should be able to adapt with ease. Villa have been slow starters so far this term and they could be punished early on by Thomas Tuchel's Champions League winners.

Best bet
Chelsea-Chelsea double result

Bet of the day

Leyton Orient to beat Oldham 3pm

Orient have made a decent start under experienced manager Kenny Jackett and they are capable of seeing off cash-strapped Oldham, who have lost five of their six matches this term.

Cards bet of the day

Manchester United v Newcastle 3pm

Magpies wing-back Jacob Murphy has already picked up one yellow card this season and he could be in for a difficult afternoon against Jadon Sancho, particularly if there is a party atmosphere at Old Trafford now Ronaldo is back at the club.

Best bet
Jacob Murphy to be shown a card

Stat of the day

Watford v Wolves 3pm

Wolves have lost their last six Premier League matches.
