Saints can keep the score respectable

William Hill Scottish Cup
Sky Sports 5, 12.30pm Sunday

St Mirren can be backed at a ridiculous price of 40-1 to become the first Scottish side this season to get the better of all-conquering Celtic.

And while that is a tad optimistic, they should be backed to cover a generous handicap in Glasgow in the William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final.

Nothing more needs to be said about all-conquering Celtic. They appear not to be letting up at all and are three games away from the treble.

But Jack Ross’s Saints are a team on the up. They hammered Hibs in midweek and should have won by more than 2-0.

They are full of confidence and won’t be petrified of a visit to Parkhead – unlike the rest of the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Recommendation
St Mirren +3 on handicap
