Brentford have been inching closer to the Championship promotion picture and they can climb into the top six for the first time this season by defeating Rotherham at the New York Stadium.

There is room for improvement from the Bees, who were nowhere near their free-flowing best during last Friday's 2-1 success at home to QPR.

But the Londoners are unbeaten in six games and they have looked more solid at the back since the international break with key defender Pontus Jansson returning to the side.

Jansson had missed a month through injury and his physical presence will be key to coping with a Rotherham side who love to load crosses into the box.

The Millers' robust approach earned them a deserved 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, although they are winless in three matches and just three points above the bottom three.

Paul Warne's side could score against Brentford but it may be a mere consolation against a Bees side on an upward curve.
