Semi-final preview

Rangers have made a bright start to life under Mick Beale and the former QPR manager has a chance to guide the Gers into a Scottish League Cup final when they take on Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Sunday.

Beale has presided over five wins in six matches in charge, and the only game they failed to win in that time was a 2-2 draw with Celtic at Ibrox.

Rangers’ form and results have improved under their new manager, but it is a switch to a more forward-thinking approach that has been the most significant result from their change at the top.

There have been 20 goals scored in the Light Blues' last six matches and Sunday's Hampden semi-final looks sure to be entertaining.

Aberdeen are not short on attacking quality either with Bojan Miovski, Duk and Leighton Clarkson in their ranks, but the Dons have been far less convincing at the back.

There have been ten goals in the pair's two league meetings this term so getting long on goals looks the way to go.
