Rangers look set to ring the changes
Scottish Premiership
BT Sport 1, 7.45pm
St Johnstone will fancy their chances of getting a result at McDiarmid Park against a Rangers side who must surely have one eye on Saturday’s Old Firm derby.
As usual, Tommy Wright’s Saints have quietly slipped along under the radar this season, but they look nailed on for a top-six finish and have enjoyed a decent unbeaten month, that started with a 3-0 home win over Inverness. On Friday they won 1-0 at Kilmarnock.
Rangers looked leggy and lethargic in their Ibrox win against Inverness before Christmas and with their huge clash against Celtic at Ibrox, manager Mark Warburton may rotate his squad.
Saints love playing the bigger teams – they have drawn at Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts on league duty already this season – and will have a go at Rangers.
Recommendation
St Johnstone draw no bet
1pt 2-1 Hills
Team news
St Johnstone will be without Michael Coulson with a calf strain but striker Steven MacLean is set to return.
Rangers have a major doubt over captain Lee Wallace. Niko Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter are both out.
