Match preview
Sheffield Wednesday are in deep trouble despite their stunning 5-0 victory at home to Cardiff on Monday but have not given up hope of retaining Championship status and can add another three points at QPR.
The Owls had slipped to the foot of the table before their contest against Cardiff but responded superbly with a performance sprinkled with outstanding goals.
Cardiff players looked shell-shocked by the end of the game and had clearly not paid due attention to the Owls, who had delivered decent performances away to Barnsley and Watford either side of the international break.
Wednesday are seven points inside the drop zone and could run out of matches but they are not going down without a fight and will fancy their chances against QPR, who have little to play for.
QPR lacked quality and determination in their 3-1 loss at Nottingham Forest on Monday and may go through a similar experience against another relegation-threatened opponent.
Key stat
Sheffield Wednesday have won on their last two visits to QPR.
