Match preview

Leicester’s Europa Conference League quarter-final tie with PSV is finely balanced after a 0-0 draw in the first leg but the Foxes look the value to progress in Eindhoven.

The hosts have won just four of their 11 games this season in either this competition or the Europa League but despite that poor record are odds-on for victory in 90 minutes.

Brendan Rodgers' men beat Rennes, who are third in Ligue 1, to reach this point, while PSV got the better of Copenhagen 8-4 on aggregate.

The first leg was a cagey affair, with both sides creating a few half-chances - Harvey Barnes hitting the woodwork for Leicester while PSV had a potential penalty waved away.

However, the Foxes could be overlooked at the prices. They have won six of their last ten games and have only lost twice, including the 2-1 defeat to Rennes which saw them progress to this stage.

The return of Wesley Fofana from injury has provided much needed stability at the back and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s recent form is up there with the best of an already considerable number of exciting young English central midfielders.

Leicester have overcome the bulk of the injury concerns which have dogged them throughout the season and with European qualification looking unlikely in the Premier League, they will throw everything at this competition.

PSV, and particularly their attacking talents, must be respected and this is likely to be a close game, with extra time a distinct possibility. However, the Foxes may just have enough individual quality to edge into the semi-finals.

Key stat

PSV have won just four of their 11 games in the Europa or Europa Conference League this season.
