Manchester United's FA Cup hopes were ended at Molineux earlier in the season and their Champions League qualification ambitions took a serious knock at the same venue following a 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

Scott McTominay's opener was cancelled out by home forward Diogo Jota and 3-1 outsiders Wolves took advantage of Ashley Young's second-half dismissal in laughable circumstances which climaxed with Chris Smalling putting into his own net.

The defeat leaves United fifth in the Premier League having played a game more than all of their rivals for a top-four finish and with difficult fixtures still to come, including home battles with Manchester City and Chelsea.

Betfair and Paddy Power pushed United out to 21-10 to claim a top-four spot, making them the outsiders of four in the race for two places alongside City and Liverpool.

Arsenal were cut to a general 1-3, Hills make Tottenham 4-9 shots and bet365 rate Chelsea 13-8.

Wolves can now look forward to Sunday's FA Cup semi-final showdown against Watford, who warmed up for Wembley with a 4-1 thrashing of Fulham - a result which relegated the Cottagers.

Fulham had been 2-1 at the start of the season to go straight back down to the Sky Bet Championship.
