Premier League leaders Liverpool made no mistake at short odds when beating Cardiff 2-0 on Sunday, but there were upsets at Goodison Park and the Emirates as the race for the Champions League qualification spots took dramatic twists.

Everton thrashed Manchester United 4-0 - a margin of victory that was available at 90-1. The rudderless Red Devils turned in a woeful performance which has seen them drift to 8-1 to finish in the Premier League's top four.

Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson put the Toffees 2-0 up at the break and Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott added second-half goals.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, however, did not lose ground on fourth-placed Arsenal, who were turned over at odds of 11-20 by 15-4 shots Crystal Palace, who ran out 3-2 winners.

Christian Benteke broke his goal drought to head Palace in front only for Mesut Ozil to equalise. Parity was only briefly restored as Wilfried Zaha gave Palace the lead again. James McArthur extended that advantage before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's strike made for a tense finish.

Arsenal are level on points with Chelsea, two ahead of United, with all three having four fixtures remaining. The London pair can be backed at 10-11 to finish in the top four while third-placed Tottenham were cut to 1-5 after a perfect day for them.

Second-half goals from Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner (penalty) moved Liverpool back to the top. They are 13-10 for the title with City 8-13, but the Merseysiders will be desperate for the champions to slip up in Wednesday's Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

City are 4-9 from 4-7 for maximum points to leapfrog Liverpool in their game in hand, with United out to 6-1 to win at home.
