Plunge on Liverpool denied as Lacazette earns Arsenal a point

Liverpool were backed into odds-on before kick-off at the Emirates but Alexandre Lacazette's late equaliser earned Arsenal a point in an entertaining 1-1 draw.

Newcastle claimed their first win of the season thanks to Ayoze Perez's goal against Watford and the Magpies are out to 5-2 for relegation.

Cardiff are 2-5 joint-favourites for the drop with Huddersfield, who host Fulham – 10-11 to go down – in a crucial encounter on Monday night.

The top of the Sky Bet Championship table became even tighter as Sheffield United, leaders going into the weekend, were beaten 1-0 at Nottingham Forest and Norwich maintained their fine form with a 4-0 victory away to Sheffield Wednesday.

Sunderland are 15-8 to win League One after their 2-0 victory at Plymouth but there were also wins for their nearest market rivals, 5-2 Barnsley and 100-30 Portsmouth.

Lincoln and MK Dons, the top two in League Two, were also victorious and it's 12-1 bar that pair in the title betting.

Hearts are clinging on at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership but they are out to 40-1 for the title after a 5-0 drubbing at Celtic, who are one point off the pace and no bigger than 1-8 to retain their crown.
