Panama could struggle to dispatch Martinique
Last eight of the Gold Cup beckons for Caribbean side
Concacaf Gold Cup Group B
From 9.30pm Saturday
Martinique have given a good account of themselves at the Concacaf Gold Cup and they can seal a place in the quarter-finals for the first time since 2002 by getting at least a point from their fixture with Panama in Cleveland.
The Caribbean outfit started with a 2-0 success over Nicaragua and ran the USA close in a 3-2 defeat in Tampa on Wednesday thanks to two goals from Kevin Parsemain – the nation's all-time leading scorer with 30 goals in 46 appearances.
Panama are a point better off after a 1-1 draw with USA and a 2-1 success over Nicaragua but there doesn't appear to be a massive difference between the teams and the Central American side are worth opposing at odds-on.
USA are top of the group despite failing to perform anywhere near domestic expectations.
However, they should cruise into the last eight with an easy win over basement boys Nicaragua, who have lost all of their five matches at Concacaf Gold Cups.
