Match preview

Home advantage has gone out of the window since football returned so Portsmouth should be fancied to pull off what they were unable to do at Fratton Park and beat Oxford in the away leg of their Sky Bet League One playoff semi-final.

Pompey were dominant in the first leg on the south coast, taking the lead after 32 minutes through Ronan Curtis before a sublime solo goal from Marcus Browne levelled the scores.

Portsmouth had more shots (15 compared to eight), more possession and had multiple penalty appeals in the game, including one in the final moments when Curtis believed he was brought down in the box by Daniel Agyei.

Knowing his side had the opportunities to come out on top in the first leg, manager Kenny Jackett is sure to field an attacking Portsmouth team at the Kassam Stadium, with Curtis, John Marquis, Ryan Williams and Marcus Harness among the premier attacking players he has at his disposal.

Despite a slow start to the season, Portsmouth were on the up before the league was suspended and had performed admirably in contests against the league's elite, claiming the scalps of Rotherham, Wycombe, Ipswich, Doncaster and Sunderland this term.

Oxford looked as though they struggled to keep up with the intensity of the first leg and have struggled on home soil, even with fans in the stands, against some of the league's bigger sides this season, losing to Rotherham and Sunderland and drawing 0-0 with Ipswich since the start of the year.

Key stat

Portsmouth have lost only three of their last 14 league assignments.
