Match preview
Arminia Bielefeld finished only eight points off the playoffs in Bundesliga 2 last season and their promotion mission has got off to a flyer in 2019-20.
The Blues sit third in the German second division after eight matches, having lost just once, and they look a value bet on their trip to Osnabruck.
They will be without veteran forward and top scorer Fabian Klos, who was sent off in the defeat to table-toppers Stuttgart last time out, but they have enough quality in the final third to outgun their struggling hosts.
Another long-time servant of the club, Andreas Voglsammer, has netted four times already this season and should unsettle a flaky Osnabruck rearguard down the flanks.
The home side reinforced their defence with the loan acquisition of Joost van Aken from Sheffield Wednesday this summer but continue to leak goals and are fresh from a defeat to basement side Wehen Wiesbaden.
Struggling Wehen had lost 5-2 to Arminia the week before and that formline speaks volumes about the gulf in class between the sides clashing on Monday night.
Osnabruck have failed to score in three of their last five games and could be out of their depth against promotion contenders.
