Second round From 7pm Wednesday

Oldham, with just two away losses since the end of March, have to fancy their chances at Rochdale in the first knockout round of the EFL Trophy tonight.

They are a division inferior to Keith Hill’s hosts but they travel well with draws at Mansfield and Tranmere the road results of note during their current League Two campaign.

Dale, beaten at home by Portsmouth in the FA Cup second round on Sunday, have also had 24 hours less to prepare for this local derby. Oldham won 2-0 at Maidstone on Saturday.

Swansea’s academy have made the knockout rounds for the third successive season and having already beaten Wimbledon and Charlton this season they can now take care of a third League One outfit, Bristol Rovers.

Rovers head for the Liberty Stadium in cripplingly poor form and with speculation at fever-pitch over the future of boss Darrell Clarke.
