Tottenham have defended more solidly in their two Premier League games under Antonio Conte and that increased resistance could be on display on Europa Conference League matchday five when they face Group G strugglers NS Mura in Slovenia.

Conte wants his team to compete on all fronts and named a first-choice team for the home match against Vitesse Arnhem, which Spurs won 3-2 despite struggling for long periods.

However, there has been clear progress in the performances away to Everton (0-0) and at home to Leeds (2-1), and a setback seems unlikely against Mura, who have looked out of their depth.

The Slovenians are eliminated having failed to pick up any points and were hammered 5-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.

They caused the Lilywhites a few problems during the opening hour in north London, but are likely to come across more disciplined opponents in the return match and may struggle to get on the scoresheet
