Match preview

Norwich were short of bodies at Cardiff City on Saturday yet still came away with a creditable 2-1 win and they are hard to oppose against Bristol City at Carrow Road.

Goalkeeper Tim Krul is one of a few players returning and should be available to manager Daniel Farke, as the Canaries look to extend their advantage at the top of the Championship.

Unbeaten at home since October – and better placed than they were when they went on to be crowned champs two seasons ago – they won 3-1 at Ashton Gate earlier this season.

Bristol City's form has been mixed. They have lost their last three on their travels, all at fairly lowly opponents, yet were excellent in beating Preston 2-0 at the weekend, as good as they have looked all season.

There may not be many goals in this one, indeed the division doesn't yield that many. Back the Canaries to win a low-scoring contest.

Key stat

Norwich are unbeaten in their last nine Championship meetings with Bristol City.
