Next Scotland manager betting: early support for Scot Gemmill to replace McLeish
David Moyes and Steve Clarke prominent in the market too
Scot Gemmill has been backed in the next Scotland manager betting after Alex McLeish was sacked on Thursday in order to reinvigorate their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
Gemmill is 5-6 favourite with Paddy Power to take over as national team boss and a 5-4 market leader with Hills and Sky Bet. The current Scotland Under-21 head coach had been 4-1 with Hills and 9-2 with Sky Bet.
Kilmarnock chief Steve Clarke and David Moyes headed plenty of early markets and still feature high up in most lists while other names in the frame are Aberdeen gaffer Derek McInnes, SFA performance director Malky Mackay, Gordon Strachan, Sam Allardyce, Michael O'Neill, Paul Lambert and Alex Neil.
The Tartan Army lost 3-0 to Kazakhstan in their opening Euro 2020 Group I game and then stumbled to a 2-0 success over San Marino in their second match. Their campaign resumes in June with outings against Cyprus and Belgium.
