New York City v New England Revolution
Midnight Thursday

New York City have fallen off the pace in the MLS standings after a run of just one win in their last five games, but they have a good opportunity to get back on track against struggling New England Revolution.

The Revs are winless in their last nine matches, picking up just three points in that time, and are in danger of dropping out of playoff contention.

Even more alarming, they are on a run of 11 road games without a victory, including being dumped out of the US Open Cup 3-2 away to second-tier Louisville.

New England led twice in that game but found a way to throw it away, and they have made a habit of dropping points in similarly frustrating fashion.

New York City also blew a lead in their 2-1 defeat to Columbus at the weekend – a match in which they were thoroughly outplayed.

However, the return to Yankee Stadium should help. They are undefeated at home this season, winning ten of their 13 home games.

They could be nervy though, given their recent form, so back the Revs to grab a consolation.
