New manager could inspire struggling Albacete

It has been a season of woe for Albacete but the arrival of new manager Enrique Martin Monreal could inspire them to a home win over fellow strugglers Lorca.

Jose Manuel Aira was given the boot on Monday following the 5-1 thumping at Nunacia which left Albacete with just four points from seven matches.

However, that solitary success came at home against Real Oviedo and Martin looks to have quickly lifted spirits.

Left-back David Morillas called Martin "a funny guy and a prankster" and he certainly brings eccentricity to the table having once been the subject of a lengthy ban when manager of Leganes for entering the field of play to tackle an opponent.

Martin will at least give Albacete early hope and that could be enough to decide a low-quality encounter with Lorca tipped by many to struggle on a reported budget which is 20th of 22 La Liga 2 teams.

Lorca have lost all three of their away matches since gaining promotion last season and may be in for further disappointment in this 90-minute trip north from Murcia.
