Eastleigh are clinging on to the final National league playoff spot in seventh, but a bad run of form has left their post-season hopes in jeopardy and their struggles could continue when they host Maidenhead.

The Spitfires have lost four of their last five matches, including to Dagenham & Redbridge on Friday, and defending is a real issue for the Hampshire side. They have conceded 14 goals in their last six matches which will certainly be a worry to manager Ben Strevens.

Maidenhead’s results haven’t been the best recently but they have been competitive in the majority of their games since January, and with panic likely to be setting in for Eastleigh they may cause an upset at the Silverlake Stadium.

Barrow are another side failing to fire in the closing stages of the season and they are without a win in their last five games. That run could be extended when they take on Hartlepool.

The Bluebirds have registered just one home win in 2019, beating relegated Aldershot 2-1 last month, and have conceded at least two goals in four of their last five matches at Holker Street.

Hartlepool will be confident after coming from behind to beat Halifax on Friday, and victory would see them leapfrog Barrow in the table and boost their hopes of rounding off the season with a top-half finish.
