Allardyce backed in wide-open race to be next Scotland manager
Strachan departs after failed World Cup campaign
Time has been called on Gordon Strachan's tenure as Scotland manager and the race to replace him is wide open.
David Moyes headed the betting on Thursday night with Hills quoting 11-4. He was followed by 4-1 shot Malky Mackay but the most interesting name on the list is former England manager Sam Allardyce, who had been backed into 8-1 from 16-1.
Paul Lambert was 12-1 alongside Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill.
Strachan's contract was due to end in November and the Scottish Football Association decided on Thursday not to extend the deal following their failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
