New York City, rock-solid at the Yankee Stadium, can return to winning ways against a Houston Dynamo side who have lost the plot in recent months.

City were beaten at Salt Lake on Sunday, making it three defeats in their last five.

They are still fifth in the MLS Eastern Conference and playing well but they need to arrest their mini-slide and the Dynamo appear to be ideal opponents to that end.

Houston have simply lost their way. The Western Conference powers started the season superbly yet have won just three times in the past three months.

Home form was always their redeeming feature but even that has deserted them – they head for the Big Apple after of a pair of 1-0 home defeats at the hands of Seattle and Chicago.

On top of that, tricky wide man Alberth Elis picked up a yellow in the Chicago reverse and is suspended.

Wilmer Cabrera's side have lost five of their last six matches and eight of their ten away games in total. New York, meanwhile, have lost just once at home all season and concede at less than a goal a game. They should win this clash comfortably.

Houston have dropped to ninth in the Western Conference following their barren run and have three points to find to get into the playoff places.

In-form Brazilian frontman Heber has popped in nine goals in 14 games including three in his last four and will fancy his chances against Houston's shaky rearguard.

Recommendation
New York City & over 2.5 goals
