Udinese v Milan

Eleven Sports 2, 7.30pm

Milan needed an injury-time goal to scrape a 2-1 victory at home to Genoa on Wednesday but are up to fourth (their highest position this season) and should justify favouritism against Udinese at Stadio Friuli.

Gennaro Gattuso's side are still searching for their first away league win of the season but the wait should end against the Little Zebras, who have taken one point from the last five games.

Dan Childs's recommendation
Milan
1pt 10-11 general

Key stat
Udinese have conceded at least two goals in each of their last five matches.

Bologna v Atalanta

Eleven Sports 2, 5pm

Hidings of Chievo and Parma – Atalanta’s three wins this season have all been by three goals or more – suggest Gianpiero Gasperini’s men have turned a corner.

They’ll fancy they can complete the hat-trick at Bologna, who they’ve beaten in their five previous Serie A clashes. Bologna are the section’s joint-lowest scorers going into the weekend matches and haven’t kept a clean sheet in five.

Steve Davies's recommendation
Atalanta
1pt 3-4 general

Key stat
Bottom-half side Atalanta boast a goal difference of plus five.

Sampdoria v Torino

Eleven Sports 2, 2pm

Torino have suffered only three away league defeats in the last year and are unbeaten on their travels this season, so they are going to take some beating.

They draw too many games to be anything other than mid-table though, and will fancy they can avoid defeat in Genoa, where Samp’s five home games have produced just nine goals.

Steve Davies's recommendation
Draw
1pt 23-10 Betfair, 188Bet

Key stat
Torino have drawn six of their last nine Serie A away matches.

Lazio v Spal

Eleven Sports 2, 11.30am

Two teams coming off horrible 3-0 home losses meet in Rome where Lazio should have the edge. Thumped 3-0 at home by Inter, they can return to winning ways against a Spal side who have been beaten to nil four times in eight matches.

The most recent of those was against Frosinone, who hadn’t won up to that point.

Steve Davies's recommendation
Lazio to win to nil
1pt 5-4 general

Key stat
Spal have lost six of their last eight Serie A matches.
