Merseyside derby clash in FA Cup third round

The Merseyside derby was the highlight of the FA Cup third-round draw and Liverpool will host Everton over the weekend of January 5-7.

Jurgen Klopp is still waiting for his first piece of silverware as the Reds’ boss but he has not always taken the FA Cup seriously, although a local clash with Everton should focus the minds of both teams.

Manchester City, favourites at 9-2 with 188Bet, are at home to fellow Premier League outfit Burnley, while Manchester United also have home comforts with Sky Bet Championship side Derby set to visit Old Trafford.

There are unlikely to be many big-name casualties in the third round with Tottenham welcoming AFC Wimbledon to Wembley while Chelsea and Arsenal also drew lower-league opposition. Chelsea head to Norwich and Arsenal are at Nottingham Forest.

Some of the trickier ties for Premier League teams include West Ham at Shrewsbury, Swansea at Wolves and Stoke are away to Coventry.
