Wretched travellers Brisbane Roar are easy to give the thumbs down at AAMI Park, where they lock horns with Melbourne City.

The Roar are second from the bottom of the A-League, having won only one of their last 14 away matches.

And that success came at the only team below them in the standings, Central Coast Mariners, who had nine men on the pitch when the referee blew time on Brisbane’s 5-3 success.

The Queenslanders haven’t been good this season, particularly on the road.

Injuries aren’t helping – Jack Hingert, Danny Bowles and Tobias Mikkelsen are among a clutch of key absentees – and they will be delighted to see the back of this season.

City are secure in sixth spot and with four regular-season games left they have few fears about missing the finals.

Their strength this season has been their defence, which is why chancing the 5-4 that they win with a clean sheet is preferred to piling into a really short 90-minute price about the hosts.

They have conceded just 11 goals in ten home games, which is the best record in the league. This ground has also become a fortress where Warren Joyce’s men are unbeaten in nine games.

They are further boosted by the return of ex-Roar striker Jamie MacLaren, who had bagged five goals in as many matches before needing a week off due to concussion.

Recommendation
Melbourne City to win to nil
