Western Sydney Wanderers v Melbourne City
BT Sport 3, 8.50am Monday

Western Sydney Wanderers face Melbourne City at the ANZ Stadium, and the away side are the recommendation for those wishing to shake off their hangover with a wager.

City can be backed at 8-5 to take all three points, which seems fair when considering reports of dressing-room unrest at Western Sydney. Four defeats in their last five matches have put the Wanderers in a pickle and manager Josep Gombau is under pressure.

Gombau has won only one of his six games in charge since taking over in October, suffering a 5-0 thrashing from Sydney FC and a 4-0 loss at Newcastle Jets. The players are apparently struggling to adjust to his tactics.

A-League standings

Wanderers have got goalkeeper Jerrad Tyson on the treatment table. City chief Warren Joyce must do without injured striker Bruno Fornaroli, but leading scorer Ross McCormack, on loan from Aston Villa, is expected to shake off a knee niggle to start.

Wanderers have conceded 13 goals in their last five games and McCormack could have a field day if in the mood. City have won three from five away games this season and are fourth in the table. They have scored at least twice in each of their road triumphs and it is difficult to imagine them failing to get on the scoresheet in Sydney.

Wanderers players and fans alike are growing increasingly frustrated with the Gombau style, and things could turn ugly at the ANZ Stadium if the home side make another poor start.
