Manchester United produce stunning 150-1 comeback at Juventus
Man City thrash Shakhtar
Embattled Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho grabbed the headlines with his celebrations following his side's dramatic come-from-behind win at Juventus on Wednesday, but his touchline antics were probably tame compared to those of in-play punters who backed the Red Devils at odds of up to 150-1 to take all three points in Turin.
United, trailing 1-0 with five minutes to go due to a Cristiano Ronaldo volley, seemed to be heading for a defeat which would have left them third in Group H with two games to play, but a Juan Mata free kick and an own goal silenced the Allianz Stadium and put the Premier League side back on track to qualify for the knockout stages.
It was the first defeat of the season for the Serie A champions and the first goals they had conceded in the Champions League following three clean sheets.
United are 33-1 to be crowned European champions, and it may be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire as next up for the Red Devils is a Premier League trip to fierce rivals Manchester City, who consolidated their status as Champions League favourites with a 6-0 thrashing of Shakhtar.
United are 8-1 to pull off another stunning upset when the teams meet in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Champions League holders Real Madrid have endured a difficult start to the season but it was back to business as usual in the Czech Republic where they hammered Viktoria Plzen 5-0.
Real are 12-1 for a fifth Champions League in six years, while Bundesliga kings Bayern Munich, who have also had their problems, are 10-1 to become European champs after a 2-0 win over AEK Athens.
