Liverpool back on top of the Premier League after Bournemouth win

Liverpool went back to the top of the Premier League after a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth, but bookmakers still prefer the chances of Manchester City in the title race.

The Reds, three points clear of City, are 11-10 to finish as champions after Jurgen Klopp's side recovered from dropping points in successive draws against Leicester and West Ham.

Sadio Mane's goal after 24 minutes settled their nerves and Georginio Wijnaldum's delightful second virtually sealed victory. Mohamed Salah added a third to dislodge City from top spot and the champions are available at 10-11 to retain the trophy.

Manchester United are up to fourth and 6-5 in the betting to qualify for next season's Champions League following an easy 3-0 win over Fulham which included a Paul Pogba double and a brilliant solo goal from his fellow Frenchman Anthony Martial.

Arsenal maintained their push for a top-four finish with a 2-1 victory at Huddersfield who, along with Fulham, are increasingly becoming detached from an otherwise intriguing relegation battle.

Cardiff's dramatic 2-1 success at Southampton, achieved with a last-gasp Kenneth Zohore strike, lifted the Bluebirds out of the bottom three and dragged a host of teams back into trouble.

The defeat dropped Southampton into the bottom three with Burnley winning 3-1 at fellow relegation rivals Brighton.

There is an intriguing look to the relegation betting with Cardiff still odds-on but out to 10-11 and Burnley at 4-1. Saints are 5-1 with Newcastle at 6-1, while Brighton are 10-1 shots with Crystal Palace 20-1.

Wilfried Zaha grabbed an equaliser for Palace in a 1-1 draw against West Ham at Selhurst Park, while Everton's miserable form continued with a 1-0 loss at Watford which increased the pressure on their former manager Marco Silva.

Betfair and Paddy Power rate Silva 6-4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his current position.

The comeback of the day came in Germany where Hoffenheim, who trailed Borussia Dortmund 3-0 with 15 minutes remaining, recovered to snatch a point at the home of the Bundesliga champions.

It was not quite as special as Aston Villa's late heroics, however, in their 3-3 draw at Sheffield United in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday when Dean Smith's hosts scored all three of their goals in the final eight minutes.

The draw was matched at a high of 450 on Betfair's exchange and just over £160,000 was traded on the Sheffield side at the minimum 1.01 price.
