Lincoln's hopes of reaching a Wembley final were ended by a 4-2 aggregate loss to York in the FA Trophy semi-finals but their main aim is to secure the National League title and they can strengthen their grip on first place by beating mid-table Boreham Wood in Hertfordshire.

The Imps could still end up at Wembley if they drop into the playoffs but all their energy will be put into retaining top spot.

Danny Cowley's side have 12 fixtures to squeeze in by the end of April so will want to build as big a lead as possible in case fatigue becomes a factor near the end of the season.

However, there were no signs of tiredness when they romped to a 4-0 victory at Braintree four days before their FA Cup quarter-final at Arsenal.

Wood are just the type of team they would like to face at this stage - marooned in mid-table, 16 points adrift of the top five and 11 clear of the drop zone.

They have won just two of their last 17 league fixtures and are unlikely to trouble the leaders.
