Hull v Leeds

The Sky Bet Championship promotion race looks wide open but second-placed Leeds are putting in consistently strong performances and look a great value bet to plunder the points at struggling Hull.

Leeds impressed in Friday's 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday, dominating the game for long periods and winning the shot count 25 to ten.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are a bit light of numbers in attack with Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford injured but backup striker Tyler Roberts has done a decent job – scoring twice in four appearances – and midfielder Mateusz Klich has contributed four goals this season.

The high intensity of Leeds's play has made life difficult for their opponents and it may overwhelm the Tigers, who are facing another scrap for survival.

Nigel Adkins' side look light in midfield – the area where Leeds are strongest – with Dan Batty and Evandro injured, and they may struggle to avoid a seventh league defeat of the season.

Recommendation
Leeds
2pts 23-20 general

Scunthorpe v Charlton

Charlton are emerging as strong contenders in the Sky Bet League One promotion race and they can extend their unbeaten run to eight games by beating Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.

The Londoners banked 13 points from a possible 15 in September and showed a never-say-die attitude by scoring an injury-time equaliser in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Luton.

They face an easier challenge against Scunny, who are without suspended midfielder Matt Lund.

Recommendation
Charlton

Walsall v Shrewsbury

Walsall's League One promotion push stalled with a 1-0 loss at home to Accrington on Saturday but 18 points from ten games is a decent return for the Saddlers, who can bounce back by beating Shrewsbury at the Bescot Stadium.

Shrewsbury have competed well in the majority of their games and are probably better than their league position of 19th suggests.

However, they have often been found wanting in the penalty boxes and could suffer against the Saddlers, who are spearheaded by pacy three-goal striker Morgan Ferrier.

Recommendation
Walsall draw no bet
2pts 19-20 Ladbrokes

Crewe v Swindon

Swindon have registered successive away wins in Sky Bet League Two and look well worth backing at Crewe on the draw-no-bet market.

Phil Brown's men have suffered just one away defeat this season - a 4-1 loss at leaders Lincoln - and should be more than a match for the Alex, who have lost three games in succession.

Recommendation
Swindon draw no bet
2pts 19-20 Coral
