Back Sligo Rovers to take home at least a point from their visit to Dundalk on Friday night.
Since the start of last season Sligo have earned five more points in the league than Dundalk and while the Lilywhites have a better squad, they are desperately unreliable.
With home advantage negated somewhat in the absence of spectators, Sligo look terrific value at 19-20 with a half-goal start on the Asian handicap.
Sligo boast quality all over the park but their rearguard, in particular, is far more solid than Dundalk's at present - they have conceded four goals fewer this term. Rovers should be confident against a side who have won only two of their nine league games.
Derry City host Longford with new boss Ruaidhri Higgins bidding to improve his fine start.
Longford will be no pushovers but Derry possess plenty of quality and ought to be moving up the table sooner rather than later.
The biggest game of the weekend sees St Patrick's host champions Shamrock Rovers.
Bookmakers make the Hoops favourites but they won't have things all their own way against a side who boast fine record against Rovers since Stephen O'Donnell took over.
With Kevin Sheedy and Mike Newell having left Waterford, expect a some improvement from the Blues. They can avoid defeat when Drogheda visit Waterford Regional Sports Centre on Saturday.
