Preston produced the upset of the EFL Cup third round with their 3-2 extra-time success at Bournemouth but they are struggling in the Sky Bet Championship and could suffer their seventh league defeat of the season when facing Lancashire rivals Wigan at Deepdale tonight.

It is incredibly tight near the foot of the second tier with one point separating the bottom six teams.
