El Clasico win can boost Real

Spain's La Liga wins the award for the most captivating title race this season and two of its protagonists - Real Madrid and Barcelona - lock horns in a highly anticipated El Clasico at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Saturday night.

Atletico Madrid have led the way since mid-December but a run of three wins in eight has seen their advantage eroded and Real and Barca both look ready to pounce.

There is little between the sides when it comes to form - Los Blancos have lost only one of their last 19 in La Liga while Barcelona are unbeaten across the same number of games in Spain's top flight.

But when it comes to defensive prowess and big-game mentality, it appears Zinedine Zidane's men have the upper hand.

Their defeat of Atalanta and comfortable win over Liverpool in the Champions League speaks highly of how well they can handle big occasion and they have enjoyed wins over both Atletico and Barcelona in the league this camapign.

Eder Militao and Nacho Fernandez look a solid defensive partnership when Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos are not available but the same cannot be said for Barca's rearguard, who shipped four in one game against PSG in the Champions League.

Ronald Koeman's men still look short of confidence when it matters and Real are worth backing at 2-1 to win the contest.

Frankfurt to edge Wolfsburg

Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg have both exceeded expectations to push for a top-four spot in the Bundesliga this season and their clash at the Commerzbank-Arena could play a big part in deciding who makes the Champions League places.

But while Wolfsburg are a force at the Volkswagen Arena, they are worth opposing on their visit to Frankfurt, who have shown they can push the big names in Germany this term.

The Eagles beat Borussia Dortmund last time out and have also beaten Bayern Munich and held Leipzig to a draw this year, suggesting they have what it takes to perform on the big occasions.

They are unbeaten at home in the league this season and have lost only one of their previous 16 Bundesliga assignments. Take them to see off the Wolves.

PSG ready to build on Champions League triumph

Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 loss to Lille last time out in Ligue 1 put a huge dent in their title credentials and may have inflated their price for this week's trip to Strasbourg.

But the 3-4 about Mauricio Pochettino's men winning on Saturday is worth taking given how effective they were against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Ligue 1 outfit won 3-2 at the Allianz Arena, inflicting a first Champions League defeat on Bayern in 20 games, and if they reach that level against Strasbourg, they should have no issues claiming maximum points.

Strasbourg have lost 15 of their 31 league matches this term and could be out of their depth against Kylian Mbappe and company.
