SunderlandvThe home defeats are mounting for struggling Sunderland and a visit from basement boys Bolton may not be as straightforward as it seems.

The Black Cats are without a Sky Bet Championship victory since August’s 3-1 win at Norwich - a run stretching 12 games - and have not won at the Stadium of Light since December.

Simon Grayson’s men have picked up just two points from their seven home league encounters this term and anxious supporters are beginning to lose faith with their defensively suspect side.

Sunderland are proving far too easy to play against and their vulnerabilities from set-pieces are seeing them concede a flurry of goals. The Black Cats have shipped 27 times this season - only Burton have conceded as many - and look to be hosting improving Bolton at the wrong time.

The Trotters are unbeaten in three league games and a reproduction of the 1-1 draw at Fulham on Saturday where they won the shot count 13-10 could be enough to land the spoils.

Bolton have scored just eight times this season but four of those goals came in their last three matches and they are in good enough shape to avoid defeat on their trip to the north-east.

Cardiff v Ipswich

Cardiff missed the chance to go top of the Sky Bet Championship following Saturday's goalless draw at home to Millwall but should return to winning ways against visiting Ipswich.

The Bluebirds have not lost in seven home league games this term and three clean sheets in their last four outings suggests Ipswich could struggle to land a blow.

The visitors ended a three-game losing run with a 2-1 victory at Burton last time out but their fans are losing patience with manager Mick McCarthy.

The Tractor Boys lost the shot count 18-9 at the Pirelli Stadium and Cardiff, who should be bolstered by the return of leading scorer Kenneth Zohore, have a golden opportunity for maximum points.

Recommendation
Cardiff

NorwichvTitle-chasing Wolves looked laboured in their 2-1 defeat at QPR on Saturday but are much better than that showing and can put things right with victory over Norwich at Carrow Road.

Nuno's talented troops had taken a strong Manchester City side to penalties in the EFL Cup just four days earlier and the quick turnaround could be to blame for their disappointing staging in the capital.

Wolves have notched ten goals in their last four league matches and the lively front three of Leo Bonatini, Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro could take some stopping.

The Canaries are winless in four home games and Saturday's 2-1 loss at the hands of Derby will take some getting over.

Recommendation
Wolves draw no bet
