Sheffield United have had to absorb a lot of disappointments, most recently on Tuesday when they conceded an injury-time goal in a 2-2 draw at home to Preston. But their performances are improving and they can beat Hull at the MKM Stadium.

It took a long time for the Blades to make their moves in the transfer market but the loan acquisitions of Morgan Gibbs-White and Conor Hourihane have added some much-needed spark.

The best is yet to come from Hourihane, who excelled on loan at Swansea last season, but Gibbs-White has hit the ground running with two goals and an assist in his first two appearances.

United are looking much improved in attack and may not need to register more than once against the Tigers, who have failed to score since a 4-1 success at Preston on the opening weekend.

Hull have been missing the influence of injured centre-back Alfie Jones and their struggles look set to continue.
