Hibs in good shape to boost promotion hopes

Hibernian can beat Dundee United tonight and take a giant step towards securing their return to the top flight after three years away.

Neil Lennon’s men have developed an unfortunate and infuriating habit for their fans of switching off recently, particularly against the so-called lesser teams.

But they are likely to be on their game against a United side who beat them 1-0 in December’s corresponding fixture in the Ladbrokes Championship.

United briefly topped the league that month, but have fallen away alarmingly with Ray McKinnon’s side struggling to achieve consistency.

Jason Cummings and Grant Holt will be relishing a crack at a United defence who have looked suspect recently and Hibs can grab the points.
