Match preview

Hearts started the new campaign with plenty of optimism following their third-placed finish in the Scottish Premiership last season and it looked justified as the Edinburgh club opened the season with two wins and a draw.

However, a 2-1 defeat at Zurich in Europa League qualifying was the catalyst for a slump which Robbie Neilson's men are struggling to get out of.

Hearts have lost five of their last six matches in all competitions with a 3-2 win over St Johnstone the only bright spot.

Zurich won 1-0 at Tynecastle in the return leg of that qualifier to leave the Jambos floundering in the third tier of European competition and it's hard to see their fortunes improving.

Istanbul Basaksehir are a dangerous outfit and include Mesut Ozil among their ranks, although the former Arsenal man has struggled for fitness this season.

The visitors are unbeaten since March, including ten fixtures in the current campaign.

They have won all three away legs in qualifying for the group stage of this competition and look a decent price to land a victory in the Scottish capital.
