Daly 4-11 to take over the reins at mangerless Hearts

Hearts are searching for a new head coach just days before the Ladbrokes Premiership season starts after sacking Ian Cathro on Tuesday.

Austin MacPhee has taken over as caretaker, along with youth coaches Jon Daly and Liam Fox and Daly has emerged as 4-11 favourite to get the job with Hills, who initially installed former Hearts player Steven Pressley as their market leader.

Paul Hartley is 7-2 with Pressley 9-1, Hearts director of football Craig Levein 10-1 and MacPhee a 14-1 chance.

Cathro lasted just seven months and paid the price for the Jambos' surprise exit from the Betfred Cup at the group stage.

Hearts begin their league campaign on Saturday with a trip to Celtic.

England's women will be without first-choice goalkeeper Karen Bardsley for the rest of the Euro 2017 campaign after the 32-year-old sustained a broken leg during Sunday's 1-0 quarter-final victory over France.

Backup goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain, who came on for Bardsley against the French, will start Thursday's semi-final against Holland in Enschede.

Midfielder Jill Scott will be absent as she serves a one-match ban.

Manchester City have been busy adding to their squad this summer but there was news of a likely outgoing transfer on Tuesday with midfielder Fernando close to agreeing a deal to join Galatasaray.

Former City winger Jesus Navas - whose contract expired this summer - has signed for Sevilla on a free transfer. The 31-year-old has signed a four-year-deal with the Andalusians, whom he played for between 2004 and 2013.
