Harry Kane could make a shock return to action in Tottenham’s crunch top-four clash at Chelsea tomorrow according to reports.

The England striker was expected to miss at least another fortnight after damaging ankle ligaments against Bournemouth on March 11 but Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed that Kane is doing “very well” in his recovery.

Spurs are 13-5 to win at Stamford Bridge for the first time since February 1990 with Chelsea 7-5 to revive their floundering top-four ambitions.

Manchester City can take another step towards replacing the Blues as Premier League champions at Everton this evening and BoyleSports have reported heavy support for the Citizens breaking the 100-point barrier this season. No side has reached the century in the Premier League era but Pep Guardiola’s Citizens are 19 points off the milestone with a possible 24 available and Boyles go 13-8 from 2-1 that they reach that mark.

But even if they miss out on reaching 100 points, the firm still expect them to break Chelsea’s record points haul of 95 with Guardiola’s side 2-7 to surpass that tally.

If they are to carry on their relentless march towards the title at Goodison they will have to do so without John Stones who has been ruled out due to concussion.

Cardiff kept up the heat on Sky Bet Championship leaders Wolves with their eighth successive league success at home to Burton yesterday.

The Bluebirds are seven points clear of third-placed Fulham but remain six points behind long-time leaders Wolves, who won 2-1 at Middlesbrough despite having two men sent off at the Riverside.

Fulham solidified their position in the playoff places with a 2-0 victory at Norwich as they seek a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2014.

Across London, Millwall are just a point off the top six after they recorded a seventh win in eight outings at home to Nottingham Forest.

In Sky Bet League One, Wigan took a huge step to securing the title with a 3-0 victory over Lancashire rivals Oldham.

The Latics are now a point ahead of Blackburn, who beat Bradford on Thursday night, but have a game in hand on their rivals.

Accrington are 4-11 to win the Sky Bet League Two title after their 1-0 win at Mansfield, coupled with Luton’s 2-1 demise at Colchester, helped John Coleman’s Stanley open up a three-point advantage at the top with two games in hand.
