Haiti are through to the semi-finals of the Concacaf Gold Cup for the first time in their history but their dream run looks set to come to an end when they face Mexico, the odds-on favourites for the title.

The Haitians have been a revelation this tournament, winning all four of their matches and producing a stunning fightback in their quarter-final to defeat Canada 3-2 after trailing 2-0 at half-time.

Mexico survived a fright of their own in the last round as they required penalties to go through against Costa Rica following a 1-1 draw after extra-time.

Before that El Tri had won seven straight matches following manager Gerardo Martino's appointment at the start of the year and they should be able to make their superior quality tell against a side ranked 83 places below them in the Fifa rankings.

Their four matches in the tournament have featured 18 goals as they put Cuba to the sword 7-0 in the group stage and followed that with wins over Canada (3-1) and Martinique (3-2).

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has looked sharp up front, bagging four goals, and he has linked up well with Uriel Antuna who has also found the net four times and supplied two assists.

Haiti have scored two or more goals in each of their games and will hope to expose any lingering Mexican tiredness following their extra-time exploits.

Former Coventry, Oldham and St Mirren striker Duckens Nazon spearheads their attack and they can play their part in an entertaining encounter but they are likely to come up short against a Mexico side chasing their record eighth Gold Cup title.
