Granit Xhaka 6-4 to captain Arsenal in next Premier League clash with Wolves
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang favourite to take over the armband
Granit Xhaka is 6-4 with Ladbrokes to lead Arsenal out in their next Premier League match after his acrimonious bust-up with the Emirates faithful during Sunday's disappointing 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
Wolves visit north London on Saturday and Xhaka is certain to receive a cool reception from the home fans as his angry response to being substituted has left him fighting for his future as Arsenal's captain.
Xhaka was chosen by the players to be Arsenal's new skipper in the summer with first vice-captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil also part of the leadership team for the 2019-20 campaign.
Aubameyang, one of the few members of the squad who should be a guaranteed starter, is 8-11 to wear the armband against Wolves. It is a crucial clash for Unai Emery's outfit given that the Spaniard is also coming under increasing criticism from frustrated fans.
Bellerin offered his support to Xhaka on social media, tweeting: "We only win when we are together", and the highly-respected member of the squad could be of some interest at 7-1 to skipper the side at the weekend.
Lacazette is a 12-1 shot and Ozil, who can barely get his way into a matchday squad, is available at 25-1.
Meanwhile, Gunners boss Emery is 12-1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his current position.
