Goals are on the cards at the Showgrounds
From 7.45pm Monday
Sligo Rovers played their part in a hugely entertaining 1-1 draw against St Patrick’s on Friday and they can give Cork City something to think about at the Showgrounds on Monday.
Kieran Sadlier, who began his career at West Ham United, will surely be returning to England soon if he produces performances like the one he came up with on Friday. He should cause problems for Cork, and both teams to score at a shade of odds-on makes some appeal.
Galway United visit Tallaght to take on Shamrock Rovers, against whom they have an appalling record. United are on an impressive unbeaten run and will not fear the Hoops, though Ronan Murray’s suspension is clearly a negative.
Finn Harps host St Patrick’s, who are improving, and make some appeal at a shade of odds-against.
Patrick’s will be delighted that Christy Fagan is back among the goals, though he was outshone on Friday by Darragh Markey, who looks a potential star for Liam Buckley’s men.
