Armenian champions Alashkert are relative newcomers to European football and they can expect another tough encounter when they face more experienced Georgian opponents Dinamo Tbilisi.

Alashkert are making their debut in the Champions League and will need to successfully overturn a 2-0 first-leg defeat in Georgia if they are to make the third round of qualifying.

The hosts boast an impressive goalscoring record at the Republican Stadium, finding the net 14 times in their last seven home matches – an average of 2 goals per game. But they have lost the services of last season’s joint-top scorer Heber and that may prove critical.
