Turkish Super Lig
6pm Monday

A win will take Galatasaray back to the Turkish Super Lig summit but Fatih Terim's team may not have it easy at Genclerbirligi.

The Ankara-based hosts are in a desperate scrap against relegation and tend to do their best work at home, losing just four times in 13 league matches in front of their own supporters compared to a road record of one win and eight defeats in 14 fixtures.

It could also be argued that Genclerbirligi don't deserve to be in such a lowly position as their shots-on-target ratio (share of match efforts on goal) is the sixth-best in Turkey at a respectable 0.51. At home that figure rises to 0.64.

Winning may be too tough a task for the hefty outsiders but in terms of making it difficult there could be some mileage in taking Genclerbirligi with a one-goal start on the Asian handicap.

Gala possess the league's highest scorer in Bafetimbi Gomis and yet they have won only two of their last nine league away games. One of those - 7-0 at rock-bottom Karabukspor - barely counts given their opponents are totally tailed off and out of their depth at this level.

Recommendation
Genclerbirligi +1 on Asian handicap
