From 7.45pm Friday

Dundalk can take advantage of Shamrock Rovers' jitters by beating them and moving six points clear as the League of Ireland resumes after its break.

Dundalk have been the better side in both games between the teams this season and they enjoy playing at Tallaght.

Dan Cleary is out so Sean Hoare is set to partner Graham Gartland at centre-back. Rovers really need to win and it is hard to know how they will respond to that pressure.

Bohemians have been backed to win in Waterford, which is no surprise given the Blues are so light on attacking options. Zak Elbouzedi is injured, while Aaron Drinan and Scott Twine have returned to their parent clubs and Izzy Akinade has left the club by mutual consent.

Waterford could frustrate Bohs but it is hard to see the Gypsies losing and backing them with the draw no bet seems worth an interest.

Derry City look a decent bet at 9-4 to win at Cork as the Rebels are struggling to get going this season.

Derry are a more talented side and will enjoy the slick surface at Turner's Cross. They will go ten points ahead of the home side, having played one game fewer, if they win.

Galway and Athlone are both struggling in Division One, but Galway should win at home to the Midlanders, who started the campaign well before falling down the table quickly.
