Forest Green v Brighton

Brighton have taken seven points from their three Premier League assignments against Manchester United, Newcastle and West Ham and the Seagulls should take care of League One outfit Forest Green in the EFL Cup. Graham Potter may ring the changes, as he did last year when Brighton made the fourth round having overcome early obstacles in Cardiff and Swansea, and are likely to still prove too strong.

Tranmere v Newcastle

Eddie Howe insists there will be a strong look to his side at Tranmere as he plots an EFL Cup run, meaning they should readily outclass the League Two side. Rovers have won only one of their first five matches in the fourth tier while the Magpies have five points from three Premier League fixtures following Sunday's 3-3 draw with Manchester City.

PSV v Rangers

Rangers reached the final of last season's Europa League but relied greatly on their results at Ibrox, having lost four of their seven away fixtures in the competition. Having drawn 2-2 in Glasgow, Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men look up against it at Philips Stadion, especially as the Dutch side are fresh having had eight days to prepare for this all-important second leg.

Trabzonspor v Copenhagen

Copenhagen were 2-1 winners at home to Trabzonspor in the opening leg of this Champions League qualifier but roles should be reversed in Turkey. Despite the defeat, Trabzonspor can take plenty of positives from their performance as they had 64 per cent possession and edged the shot count 8-6. Trabzonspor are unbeaten at home since last August and must win, which makes this a tough looking trip for the Danes.
