Football accumulator tips for Tuesday April 26: Back Black Cats in 8-1 acca

Exeter can seal promotion from League Two

All eyes will be fixed on the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Manchester City and Real Madrid at the Etihad, but there are also some noteworthy games taking place in the Football League.

Championship title-chasers Fulham host Nottingham Forest, who are also in the hunt for automatic promotion, while second-placed Bournemouth put their credentials on the line at Swansea.

The pick of the three fixtures from League One sees second-placed Rotherham travel to Sunderland, who are fourth, while Exeter could seal promotion from League Two with a home win over Barrow.

All bets must be placed by 7.45pm on Tuesday.

Racing Post football expert Aaron Ashley has picked:

Sunderland to beat Rotherham

Exeter to beat Barrow

Mansfield to beat Stevenage

Manchester City to beat Real Madrid

Sunderland v Rotherham

Rotherham's League One title challenge is fading away after a run of only three wins in ten and their automatic promotion hopes may also be at risk after defeat at Sunderland. The Black Cats, who sit fourth, are the division's form team and have won their last five league engagements at the Stadium of Light.

Exeter v Barrow

Exeter can seal promotion to League One with victory over Barrow and they should claim the three points they desire. The Grecians are unbeaten in ten home league games, winning on eight occasions, while Barrow, who have little riding on this game, have won only once in seven away trips.

Mansfield v Stevenage

Mansfield have won 12 of their last 13 home games in League Two and should have few concerns improving that record against Stevenage, who have now secured their Football League status for another season. The in-form Stags are sixth but victory here would keep them in the hunt for automatic promotion.

Manchester City v Real Madrid

Real Madrid were let off the hook by Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final, but Manchester City are unlikely to be so forgiving. The Citizens have won ten of their 11 Champions League home games in the past two seasons and can take a lead to the Spanish capital.
