Leicester v Brentford

Both teams scored in 26 of Leicester's 38 Premier League fixtures last season and that looks the best bet in their opening match of the campaign at home to Brentford.

Stuttgart v Leipzig

Leipzig turned a corner under Domenico Tedesco last season and should fancy their chances of overpowering Stuttgart, who failed to win 27 of their 34 Bundesliga contests in 2021-22.

Rennes v Lorient

Under the guidance of attacking coach Bruno Genesio, Rennes racked up 82 goals in Ligue 1 last season, earning a fourth-place finish in the process, and they should see off Lorient.

Marseille v Reims

Marseille were the best of the rest in France's top flight last season and can make a winning start to the new campaign against Reims, who lost key striker Hugo Ekitike to PSG in the summer.
